Model appointments now available

We are extremely excited to announce that from 23rd May 2026, you can now book model appointments with our talented apprentices, Amber and Liberty.

As they complete the final stages of their training to become the future stylists of Tonics, a selected service menu will be available at a reduced price. This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy professional services whilst supporting the next generation of hairstylists.

To ensure the high standards of hairdressing and customer care you know and love from Tonics, all appointments will be fully overseen by Marcos for cutting services and Carla for colour services.

Please note that these appointments are limited and will take slightly longer than appointments with a qualified stylist as part of the training process.

We cannot wait for you to meet Amber and Liberty and watch them grow into the next generation of Tonics talent.

Annie continues her project colour journey

Annie has been busy this year continuing her mentoring journey with Zoe Irwin through her Project Colour days.

This month, she travelled to Norfolk to be guest mentored by the amazingly talented “Copper Queen”, Rachael Lomax. Together they explored the science behind copper hair, delving deeper into tones and techniques to create truly bespoke colours for clients.

Now back in the salon and sharing her new knowledge, you can expect your coppers and reds to have more pop than ever before.

Madrid Marathon 2026 for St Catherine’s hospice

Marcos took on the Madrid Marathon after training hard since January. He completed the marathon in a brilliant time of 4 hours and 34 minutes, while raising an astonishing £1,310 for local charity, St Catherine’s Hospice.

For the past 40 years, St Catherine’s Hospice has supported people across West Sussex and East Surrey, providing both physical and emotional care to those living with life-limiting or terminal conditions, as well as support for their families.

Tonics recently had the honour of hosting an inspiring day of education with Rebecca Jaques, Midlands Hairdresser of the Year. Known for her unique vision, precision cutting and boundary-pushing creativity, Rebecca shared techniques and insights from her latest award-winning collection with the team.

The session was packed with creativity and hands-on learning, giving the team the opportunity to refine classic cutting techniques while deepening their understanding of modern creative styling. From precision work to editorial-inspired finishes, the day offered inspiration at every turn.

The Tonics team left feeling motivated, energised and excited to bring new ideas and techniques into the salon. Especially for clients looking for something a little more daring. 😜

Loyalty tiers are reviewed every January and are based on the total number of visits made during the previous calendar year (January–December).

This is not calculated from the date of your first visit and does not run on a rolling 12-month basis. Tiers are updated manually as part of our annual review.

Marcos takes to London fashion week

Marcos returned backstage for the A/W 2026 show season alongside Team Richard Phillipart, creating standout hair looks for leading designers including Karoliina Vitto, YAKU, Kseniaschnaider and Genaro Rivas.

The fast-paced weekend was packed with creativity, collaboration and innovation, giving Marcos the opportunity to further develop his backstage experience while working on some of the season’s most exciting runway styles.

Bringing fresh inspiration and the latest trends back to the salons, the experience ensures the Tonics team continues to stay at the forefront of all things hair.

Men’s Milan fashion week A/W 2026

This New Year marked a major milestone for Marcos as he went international for the very first time, working backstage at Men’s Milan Fashion Week A/W 2026 in Milan.

Working alongside the incredibly talented Richard Phillipart, Marcos assisted backstage, helping bring each look to life. He prepped hair for shows including PDF Channel and Saul Nash, creating sleek, high-shine finishes that perfectly completed the runway looks.

Project Colour 2026

We are super proud of Annie for yet again pushing herself to expand her skills and securing a place on Project Colour 2026 with the Fellowship of British hairdressing!

Annie will be attending this mentoring programme which provides access to some of the finest colourists in the industry, who will share their unique colour application techniques, creativity, art direction and vision. Focusing on the artistry of pure hair colour.

This is an action-packed opportunity with uniquely tailored educational days and also incorporates a photoshoot that uses her newly acquired skills, coupled with her mission for colour.

Annie got a Distinction!

We are so proud of Annie, our second Distinction in a row through our Tonics Apprenticeship Programme.

Acing every single unit with top marks, Annie has shown incredible dedication, consistency and passion for her craft. Her hard work truly speaks for itself, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything that she has achieved so far, and what is still to come.

Annie now continues her education with the level 3 Advanced and Creative Hair Professionals through 2026.

Project X Finale

Marcos’ journey on Project X comes to a close with a stunning final look.

Drawing inspiration from Vivienne Westwood, the design pays homage to her rebellious spirit blending signature tartan elements with an elevated, undone punk aesthetic that captures the essence of her iconic legacy.

Welcome Amber to the team!

We’re thrilled to welcome Amber as our newest apprentice!

Amber has a background in fashion and a keen eye for design, which we know will shine through on her journey with us. Some of you may have already met her, and were sure you’ll agree she’s full of creativity and energy.

She’s hit the ground running, and we cant wait to see her grow and thrive as she learns all things hair.

This month, Marcos had a double dose of creativity with Project X

First, he completed an intensive two-day photoshoot that will be published shortly - stay tuned!

Then came a fantastic day with none other than Efi Davis, nominee for both British Hairdresser of the Year and Avant Garde Haidresser of the Year.

Together, they dove deep into the world of avant garde, exploring how to create unique textures by treating hair like fabric. The day was packed with inspiration, and the team loved every moment of crafting their visionary looks. We cant wait to share the final results with you - watch this space!

Project X Wig Lab

Last month, Marcos and the Project X team dived into the world of wigs guided by Guiseppe Stelitano, International Creative Director at Trevor Sorbie.

From exploring the history of wigs to building them from scratch, the team experimented with colour blending, texture and extreme lengths. It was a full day of creativity, learning, and inspiration.

Marcos hit the track with Wella RED

This month, Marcos attended the Wella RED Business Network event at the iconic Silverstone circuit

Hosted by Simon Watts and Bob Neville of RJN Race Team, the day focused on building high-peformance teams, drawing powerful parallels between elite sport and business leadership.

From an Adrenalin-fueled hot lap in a passenger adapted GT3 race car to hearing insights from ex-F1 winner John Watson, the event offered unforgettable experiences and practical lessons on striving for excellence, teamwork and motivation under pressure.
